About Jean T Rothman, MFT
I am a licensed therapist in California and Ohio for preschoolers, children (through age 10), adults, seniors, couples, and even entire families who wish to de-stress, get along better, find more balance, and feel happier. My field is called both "Marriage and Family Therapy" and "Couples and Family Therapy," which perhaps makes more sense, as many of the couples I see are not actually married!
I enjoy counseling individuals, as well as any combination of people who want to make their relationship easier and more joyful, such as parents-and-child, business partners, siblings, people who are co-parenting after divorce, engaged couples, and so on.
In addition to my formal training in psychotherapy, I also have done years of study in mindfulness, spirituality, meditation, metaphysics, and Energy Psychology. I am also a writer, editor, speaker and life coach.
I believe my lived experience as a daughter, mother, wife, single woman, sister, aunt and friend has greatly contributed to my ability to listen to and understand other people going through their own challenges in life, and I consider it an honor to be entrusted with the job of being a therapist.
